  GENESIS

Earlier there were few organizations working in different parts of Medak District with out knowing each other and their activities. District authorities called for a meeting of NGO's working in Medak District with a view to seek the co-operation and participation of NGO's in Pulse Polio Programme, at district head quarters, Sangareddy. Taking the gathering of NGO's as an opportunity, few NGO's took initiation to form district level NGO's Forum. In this direction a series of meetings were organized where most of the NGO's participated enthusiastically and it was decided to have a forum for mutual co-operation. Finally the forum took the name as "MEDVAN". And it was registered in 1998 under A.P Societies registration Act (Telangana area-1350 fasli).
